TERMS & CONDITIONS ACKNOWLEDGMENT FOR ALL ACCOUNT HOLDERS
West Coast Beauty, hereinafter referred to as WCB, is a wholesale distributor that partners with premium manufacturers to bring high-quality beauty brands exclusively to licensed industry professionals throughout British Columbia.
To protect your account and ensure that we uphold our contractual agreements with the brands we represent, while maintaining the integrity of the professional beauty industry, we require that all customers acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions before making a purchase at WCB. This agreement will renew automatically on an annual basis in accordance with the date signed below. It is the account holder's responsibility to ensure that all information is up to date.
- Professional Licensing Requirement: A licensed professional is defined as an individual who holds a valid certificate of completion from an accredited beauty or cosmetology school, or is a business owner with a valid business license pertaining to the hair or esthetics industry. This includes barbers, hair stylists, colourists, extension specialists, estheticians, makeup artists, as well as brow, lash and nail technicians. Current Students of accredited Beauty Schools and Apprentices may shop under the same terms and conditions until their program graduation date, as verified by their enrolment documentation, at which time they must provide proof of certification, and a full account will be set up. PROFESSIONALS NOT ACCEPTED AT WEST COAST BEAUTY Aromatherapist, Reflexologist, Naturopath, Salon/Spa Administrators. *Please note: We do not accept online classes as valid qualifications.
- Restrictions on Product Sales: Certain products, such as professional-grade colour, extensions, and skincare treatments, are sold exclusively to individuals who can provide proof of specialized training in those specific fields. These products are intended for professional use only, improper application can cause physical harm and safety risks if applied incorrectly as well as reputational damage. As such, these products will not be sold to individuals who cannot demonstrate the appropriate training or credentials.
- Restrictions to Re-sales: The Salon and licensed professional, as outlined above, promises that all products purchased from WCB will be used for services performed at a professional establishment or will be resold to a salon client for home use or as gifts. They shall not resell products to any other business, retailer, salon, cosmetologist or re-distributer. Any other resale is prohibited and considered to be diversion. WCB reserves the right to terminate any accounts found to be diverting professional products and the account holder may be liable to civil action. Any employees using this account or representing the salon will be made aware of and abide to the requirements of these terms and conditions.
- Wholesale pricing: Wholesale pricing is offered to licensed professionals only and as such should never be shared publicly. As a measure to protect our industry, the account holder agrees not to share wholesale price lists with clients or post WCB flyers or catalogues on any form of social media and will adhere to the manufacturer’s suggested retail pricing.
- Account information: Business accounts must list employees authorized to use this account, any person not specifically named will need to create their own account. Independent account holders may not allow any other person to shop under their identity. The account holder agrees to inform WCB of any changes to phone numbers, email, physical addresses or persons authorized on their account and agrees that they will not bring friends, family, clients or anyone outside of the professional trade to shop. All account information shared with WCB is protected and collected for our purposes only, it will not be shared with third parties. *Business Cards are not accepted as valid documentation for any account information. Account holder must provide a government issued ID, utility bill or valid business license containing the address & account holders name for address changes.
- COD Account Holders: All new accounts will be set up with C.O.D terms. WCB cannot produce multiple or separate invoices for a client. The only exception will be made for backbar invoices. Professionals may be required to provide 2 pieces of ID to authenticate their identity, as well as anyone authorized by the account holder to pick up items on their behalf.
- Return Policy: Returns can be made within 60 days of purchase on regular stock items, in new and resalable condition, or on items with a manufacturer’s defect. We have the right to refuse the return or exchange of products that have been defaced, opened, damaged or labeled with salon tags. Returns can be made through a sales representative or in one of our store locations. Products shipped in error or damaged in shipping must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. * Items not eligible for return include sales over 60 days old, hair extensions, special orders, furniture and salon equipment, scissors/texturizers, brushes/combs, skin care products, nail products, cosmetic/makeup products and esthetician implements/tools for hygienic reasons. Used electrical items that are not under warranty will not be returned. (defective items after one year warranty need to be returned through manufacturer) ALL CLEARANCE OR DISCONTINUED ITEMS, LIMITED EDITION HOLIDAY PACKS, BOXED OR SPECIAL PROMOTIONS ARE FINAL SALE.
- Conduct Expectations: Account holder agrees to treat all WCB employees in a professional manner. Any concerns regarding policies, manufacturers or circumstances outside of a stores control or ability to serve the account holder will be directed to management.
West Coast Beauty reserves the right to revoke an account from a client found to be in breach of any part of this agreement. By signing this agreement, customers confirm that they are licensed professionals and agree to adhere to the terms outlined above.
